Ripon schools prepare for graduation week
Ripona Grad

There will be plenty of pomp and circumstance this week at the Ripon Unified School District.
Eighth-grade promotion exercises are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday followed by Ripon High’s Class of 2018 graduation on Friday.
About 204 seniors will receive their diplomas during the 7 p.m. ceremonies at Stouffer Field featuring the newly installed bleachers and press box.
Prior to that, Ripona and Colony Oak will kick-off the eighth-grade promotion exercises on Wednesday.
Colony Oak, which is in the middle of construction – campus renovations to convert the school to a STEM campus is expected to be completed by mid-September – will still have the promotion event in the Multi-Purpose Building beginning at 7 p.m.
The Ripona eighth-grade event will begin an hour earlier that day – 6 o’clock – in the Multi-Purpose Building.
Weston will kick-off the promotion exercises on Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building.
Park View will also have its eighth-grade promotion exercises on campus in the Multi-Purpose Building beginning at 6:30.
Ripon Elementary will honor its eighth graders at the Ripon High School Multi-Purpose Room, with the festivities starting at 7 o’clock.
