The Mistlin Park Amphitheater is the place to be on Friday, Aug. 9.

That’s when the City of Ripon continues its free Summer Movies in the Park with the playing of Captain Marvel.

This Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck stars Brie Larson in the title role with Samuel L. Jackson back in his familiar role of Nick Fury.

Captain Marvel raked in over $1.2 billion, making it the second-highest-grossing film for 2019 not to mention the ninth-highest-grossing comic book superhero film of all time

The Summer Movies in the Park kicked off earlier this month with free showing of the Disney live action movie Dumbo.

Gates at Mistlin Park for Captain Marvel open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie starting at 8:30.

Those attending the free showing should bring their own blanket or low chair.

Snacks and refreshments will be available on the premises.

Children must be accompanied by an adult
