Ripon Unified enrollment now at 3,341 students

Attendance at the Ripon Unified School District continued to show steady growth based on the figures from the fifth month reporting period.

The total count at Ripon High, Harvest High, Independent Study, and five elementary school sites – Ripon El., Ripona, Weston, Colony Oak, and Park View – from Dec. 2 through Jan. 1, was 3,341 or 108 more students from a year ago at this time.

Since the 2016-17, RUSD has gone from 3,145 to the current 3,341, as reported at the Feb. 10 school board meeting.

RHS once again led the way in attendance with 978 students. Harvest High, the district’s alternative education site, and Independent Study had 24 and 13, respectively.

Ripona recorded the most students among the elementary sites with 472 – 45 more than that of a year ago.

Colony Oak also displayed substantial growth, going from 429 during the 2018-19 school year to the current 469.

Park View (465) and Ripon El. (457) reported slight declines from a year ago while Weston (463) tallied the exact numbers from the fifth month reporting period in 2018-19.
