Ripon Unified continues to make do with its substitute teaching pool.

School districts are required to comply with the current health and safety measures from the California Department of Public Health – per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – on staying home when sick.

“It’s been challenging but we’re managing,” said Superintendent Ziggy Robeson during her report at the school board meeting on Jan. 10.

RUSD announced one new substitute teacher hire in Monica Gutierrez while adding an Instructional Assistant / Yard Duty employee in Jacob Laudenslayer at Colony Oak Elementary School.

In addition, three position changes among custodians received the OK.

Jeremy Bradford is at Ripon High while Irene Rodriguez and Brett Standart will switch over to Ripon Elementary and at the RUSD District Office, respectively.
