Plans for re-opening the classrooms to Ripon Unified School District students is Aug. 12.

But much could depend on orders from the City of Ripon, San Joaquin County Office of Education and at the state level, according to Superintendent Ziggy Robeson.

"We will provide updates and present various scenarios," she said during the monthly online session in the Council Chambers.

Robeson recognized teachers and support staff for their efforts of providing a distance-learning curriculum amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last time RUSD students appeared in the classroom was about two months ago.

High school graduation and eighth-grade promotion ceremonies are planned for the summer.
