RUSD up 84 students in year-to-year count

The Ripon Unified School District released its recent enrollment report, covering the month after the holiday break.

The overall numbers at Ripon High, Harvest High, and the five elementary school sites were 3,212, according to the tally for the sixth month (Jan. 9 through Feb. 3) of the 2022-2023 school year.

Of that, Ripon High accounted for 957 students. Harvest High, the district’s continuation school site, maintained steady numbers at 22.

Ripona Elementary School reported 472 students in that January span, followed by Weston (447), Park View (445), Ripon El. (435), and Colony Oak (434).

A year ago at this time, RUSD’s enrollment was 3,129. During the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020-2021, the district numbers dipped to 3,075 – included was virtual learning at the elementary schools and distance learning at RHS.
