The Beer, Wine & Spooky Spirits Stroll will be the first-ever event sponsored by the Downtown Business Alliance of Manteca.

Over 20 local businesses are expected to take part, keeping their doors open later than usual while offering up vino or brew on Friday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

“We’re encouraging costumes,” said Shawn Nussbaumer of J & J Printing, referring to this fun-filled evening as a trick-or-treat of sort for grownups.

This Beer, Wine & Spooky Spirits Stroll is for those 21 or older.

Cost is $25 with tickets available at several downtown locations, including Studio 150 Salon and Spa, Tipton’s Stationery & Gifts, Oak Valley Community Bank, Law Offices of Eddie Torres, Leonard Photography, Manteca Chamber of Commerce and J & J Printing. Each business will also provide hors d’oeuvres.

The two check-in stations will be in the Manteca Bedquarters parking lot at the corner of Yosemite Avenue and North Main Street and the Rotary Mural across from the Manteca Branch Library, according to Nussbaumer.

He indicated that the focus of the newly-formed Downtown Alliance is to bring back life and new businesses to downtown.

The Beer, Wine & Spooky Spirits Stroll will have two non-alcohol stops. Designated drivers will also be available.

Only 200 tickets are available.

All funds from ticket sales will go back into downtown. Donations are also welcome.

Maps of the participating businesses will be available during check-in of the event, with wine glasses and wristbands going to those taking part.
