StocktonCon is back.

The seventh annual event consisting of over 200 exhibitors and artists is scheduled this weekend at the Stockton Arena, 248 W. Fremont St.

Special guests include Charles Fleischer and Joanna Cassidy as part of the StocktonCon’s 30th anniversary reunion of ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit.’ Fleischer did the voice of Roger Rabbit for the 1988 animated Robert Zemeckis movie. Cassidy played Delores.

Actresses Rachael Leigh Cook (Josie and the Pussycats, She’s All That) and Brittany Daniel (Sweet Valley High) along with professional wrestler James Ellsworth (WWE) are scheduled to appear during the two-day event – Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on both days – at the Stockton Arena and the nearby University Plaza Waterfront Hotel.

Another StocktonCon headliner is Legends wrestler Sting for a Saturday-only appearance.

Artists’ Howard Chaykin (Star Wars), James O’Barr (The Crow), Paoloa Rivera (Daredevil), Kyle Starks (Rick and Morty) and Blair Shedd (Dr. Who) coupled with voice actors Michael Bell (Transformers, GI Joe) and Greg Baldwin (Samurai Jack) are among the other big-name guests.

A costume contest is planned for Saturday at 5 p.m. in the hotel ballroom and a geek fashion show will be held on Sunday.

In addition, pro wrestling’s Bushido returns with squared circle action on both days outside the arena’s main entrance.

This year’s StocktonCon, now in its seventh year, is being presented by Utility Telecom.

Cost is $13 per day. Two-day passes are available at a special pre-sale price (through Friday) of $18 or $22 at the door.

A portion of the proceeds will go directly to United Way, Child Abuse Prevention Council of San Joaquin County and the American Heart Association.

Tickets are available at over 30 ticket sales locations throughout Northern California or by logging on to http://ticketmaster.com.
