The San Joaquin County Office of Education will recognize this year’s Classified Employee of the Year winners this evening.
Included are Rachelle Metcalfe and Maria ‘Lilia’ Martinez DeAredondo of the Manteca Unified School District. They’re among the eight classified employees scheduled to be honored at the Awards Celebration Dinner.
Metcalfe works in Food and Nutrition Services at Lathrop High while DeAredondo is in Security Services at Great Valley Elementary School.
The others are:
· Kelly Cabral from Tom Hawkins Elementary School (Jefferson Elementary School District). She was named the 2022 Clerical and Administrative Services employee of the year.
· Arthur Medina (Lincoln Unified) earned the honor in Custodial and Maintenance Services.
· Hector Calderon (one.Program, SJCOE) was the Health and Student Services employee of the year.
· Mary Gomes of Waterloo Elementary School (Linden Unified) as the Paraprofessional of the year.
· Debra Yanez from the Stockton Unified School District is the top employee in Skilled Trades.
· Kitty Towers of Banta Unified is the Technical Services employee of the year.
The 2021-2022 Teachers of the Year will also be honored at the dinner sponsored by SJCOE and Premier Community Credit Union along with the retiring superintendents in the county.
