On Monday, Nov. 4, from noon to 2 p.m. the intersection of Yosemite Avenue and Main Street will be closed. Detours will be in place for the closure.
On Monday, Nov. 4, and Tuesday, Nov. 5, East Yosemite between Main Street and Powers Avenue will have closures to side streets throughout the day. There will be constant access, but traffic controls will be changing as paving progresses.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 5:30 a.m. to noon the intersection of East Yosemite and Powers avenues will be closed. The paving contractor will have personnel on hand to help foot traffic across East Yosemite during the time work is taking place.
City officials said work is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
Left to be paved is East Yosemite between Powers and Cottage avenues. The contractor also needs to strip lanes as well as crosswalks and parking space markings. Several high profile crosswalks — including two by Manteca High — will have high visibility flashing lights similar to the overhead flashing lights at the crosswalk at Wellington Avenue at Woodward Avenue that haven’t worked for five weeks.
