• FIRE, NORTH UNION ROAD, OCT. 17: Manteca firefighters responded to a structure fire on North Union Road early Thursday morning. Upon arrival, they observed flames through the window of a detached garage. Firefighters immediately began an aggressive fire attack, and were successful in knocking down the fire before it could extend to the nearby home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.



• VEHICLE FIRE, WATSON AVENUE, OCT. 13
: Manteca firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Watson Avenue early Saturday morning. Upon arrival, they found a fully involved motor home. Firefighters accessed the vehicle from the Pacific Avenue side of the property and began fire attack. The fire did extend to the metal building adjacent to the vehicle, which sustained major heat damage. An investigation was performed at the scene; however, the cause was undetermined with the fire destroying all evidence.



• FIRE, SOUTH AIRPORT WAY AT CROM STREET, OCT. 12
: Firefighters were dispatched to an outdoor fire on South Airport Way and Crom Street on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found a grass fire on the side of the roadway. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, containing it to the immediate area.
