Highlights of Manteca Fire Department incidents during the past week:

• WATER PROBLEM, STOCKTON STREET, OCT. 20: Firefighters responded to the report of a water problem on Stockton Street on Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, Firefighters found that the apartment of the reporting party was being flooded from water coming from the adjacent apartment. Forcible entry was made into the adjacent apartment, and the water supply was shut off until repairs could be made. Over an inch of standing water was visible throughout the apartment. Firefighters began water removal procedures and evacuated the residents from the unit.

• FIRE, NORTH MAIN STREET, OCT. 21: Firefighters were dispatched to an outdoor fire on North Main Street on Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found a dumpster fire that was located to the rear of a school. Firefighters used a booster line to extinguish the fire, and checked the nearby area for fire extension. Firefighters investigated the cause but could not locate the point of origin. The cause of the fire was suspicious and Manteca Police was called to the scene.
