The magic of Disney’s customer service is coming to Manteca.

The Disney Institute is staging a one-day conference on May 19 in conjunction with the Manteca Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Central Valley Tourism Association. It is one of two public workshops planned for California this year.

The Disney Institute course in Orlando is over three days and costs $5,000. The Manteca one-day conference will cost $299.

“They are considered the leading experts in customer service,” Manteca CVB Executive Director Linda Abeldt said of the Disney Institute. “It really is a rare opportunity for businesses to get additional insight into customer relations.”

The Disney Institute’s programs are developed on the time-tested visions and ideals of Walt Disney. The program focuses on three key outcomes: Knowledge, comprehension, and applications. The facilitators “clearly illustrate ways” participants can adapt and apply the standards to their own organization.

The conference will touch on Disney’s approach to inspiring creativity, leadership excellence, people management, quality service, and brand loyalty.

It is the first time the Disney Institute has come to the Central Valley.

It is part of the Manteca CVB’s effort to help the business community be able to capitalize on snagging not just visitors’ dollars and their repeat business but regional and local customers as well.

Space is limited. The Disney Institute conferences typically sell out months in advance.
