A Manteca man in his 50s was killed in a predawn crash at 4:43 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Louise Avenue and Jack Tone Road when he allegedly pulled in front of a southbound pickup truck.

The pickup driver in his 60s was reportedly heading to work in the Ripon area from his home in Stockton in his 2003 GMC pickup when he broadsided a 1998 Honda Accord that was eastbound out of Louise Avenue, according to the CHP. The driver of the pickup received moderate injuries in the crash, officers said.

The Manteca driver of the Honda was killed in the crash as he was enroute to his workplace in Stockton, officers said.  Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected as having contributed to the crash, a CHP spokesman said.
