Manteca night spots get ready for Halloween party bashes

Halloween is a time for dressing up in costume and having a good time.

Numerous events are planned for the weekend for those 21 and older, including Friday’s bash at the Pub & Lounge.

For proprietors Tony and Marshell Coit, the annual Halloween affair is considered their biggest event of the year.

They should know, having owned the Manteca establishment at 1305 N. Main St. for the past seven years.

“We’ve hosted the (Halloween) party for the last six years,” Tony Coit said on Tuesday.

 The Pub & Lounge party is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Music will be provided by D.J. Manny.

Prizes will be awarded to “gal’s sexiest costume” and “boy’s best costume.”

Drink specials will be offered throughout the evening.

Grand Theatre
The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts at 715 Central Ave. in historic downtown Tracy will be presenting “Halloween at the Grand,” with something for everyone.

Beginning today, a Haunted House will open – 6 p.m. on weekdays, 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday – and is suitable for audiences of all ages accompanied with an adult. Cost is $8.

Friday will be the Masquerade Mayhem from 9 p.m. to midnight. The event will also double up as an after party for the Tracy Wine Stroller. Cost is $10 and includes admission to the Haunted House.

On Sunday, the Grand will feature “Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein” at 2 p.m. Cost is $4.

Rocko’s Sports & Spirits
Rocko’s at 757 N. Main St., Manteca, is planning for the “best Halloween party in Manteca” on Saturday, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Halloween event will include D.J. music, hors d’ouevres, and a cash prize for the best costume.

In addition, those attending can arrange for a free ride home from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Admission is $4 with a costume and $8 without one.

French Camp Sports Café
The inaugural Halloween Costume Party at the golf course facility located at 3919 E. French Camp Road. is planned from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

At 9 o’clock, the best costume contest will begin, with first prize consisting of $100 cash and a round of golf for two.

Second prize is $50 cash and dinner for two.

Third prize is $25 cash and breakfast for two.

Drink specials will be held all day.

X-Treme Sports Lounge
Prizes for the best costume is planned for Saturday at the X-Treme Sports Lounge located at 104 Pierce Ave., Manteca.

The Halloween event begins at 9 p.m.

Entertainment will be a D.J. playing English / Spanish music for dancing.

No one under 21 will be admitted.

Rusty Hook
The Rusty Hook is having the “biggest, baddest and best” Halloween costume party in Manteca.

The Saturday event is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Plans call for D.J. Glen to make a special appearance.

A prize is in store for the best costume, with drink specials planned during the course of the evening.

The Rusty Hook is located at 955 E. Yosemite Ave.
