Sikhs in Manteca will conduct candlelight vigils Saturday for shooting victims at the Sikh temple in Wisconsin and the moviegoers in Aurora, Colo.
Manteca law enforcement and civic leaders will be in attendance. The Sikhs hope community members of every ethnicity and religion also will attend.
“We want to show our solidarity with the victims and give everyone a chance to express their feelings toward what happened,” noted Birinder Singh.
The Manteca Sikh temple is at 4046 E. Woodward Ave. The special prayer service open to the public starts Saturday at 7 p.m.
