Cameron Gonzales attends U.C. Davis.
They were among the former students on campus last Wednesday as part of the Manteca High Alumni panel at Mulvihill Theatre.
The others were Nermeeta Dhillon, Mailee Dameo, Clayton Williams, Melissa Souza, Cameron Gonzales, Dhillon Patel, Jackey Tang, Makayla Dodd, Joseph Ponchinni, Hilda Martinez Mora and Brittanee Brand were also on hand for  the program.
According to the College Prep Club advisor Nina Norton, the alumni shared their college life experiences along with their educational path and future goals to current MHS students.
“The future college students were warned about procrastination (and) informed about the benefits of community service,” she said.
The MHS students were also reminded that scholarships are available, with counseling secretary Sandra Keiffaber providing updates and information via email.
“Several students commented on the help counselor Martha Dias-Linn provided them,” said Norton, who has organized the alumni panel for the past three years.
She added: “All of the alumni benefitted from the help they received from the MHS staff while preparing for college.”
Each of the former students received a gift from the MHS administration – a special alumni Honor the Code bracelets.
The HTC program recognizes special efforts and the helping of others, Norton said.
