MHS student helps veterans via jeans

Jeans for Troop provides assistance to all military veterans.
This non-profit organization, in particular, focuses on veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan by providing help in seeking employment opportunities, housing, and securing educational and health benefits.
At Manteca High, Logan Cope is using Jeans for Troop’s GI Go Fund as his senior project.
From now through Wednesday, he’s asking students to wear jeans in support of this national campaign on Nov. 8 while, more importantly, donating to the cause.
All money collected will go to the veterans.
The GI Go Fund works to make sure that all veterans get the care they deserve, whether it’s health care and benefits or finding employment.
On Friday, Nov. 9, in conjunction with MHS Leadership, Link Crew and the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp, Logan and his GI Go Fund Project 2017 are scheduled to celebrate all vets at the Buffaloes’ Sac-Joaquin Section football playoff game at Guss Schmiedt Field.
While no longer a graduation requirement at the Manteca Unified School District, Cope and others at MHS have continued doing senior projects while helping out others along the way.
