Sister Ann Venita Britto is gearing up for her upcoming luncheon for seniors.

This time, she’s planning a spring event on Thursday, March 19, open to all regardless of religious affiliations.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s parish gymnasium – at the corner of North Fremont Avenue and Sutter Street, Manteca – Sister Ann and her Ministry of Caring will be having a warm meal as prepared by Rick and Barbara Jager along with cafeteria manager Sue Parnham.

Servers are usually youngsters from St. Anthony’s school.

Among those expected to be in attendance are St. Jude Care Center, Prestige, Brookdale, Del Webb, and Magnolia Court, to name a few.

But it’s donations that make possible the door prizes, favors, table centerpieces and the meal, Sister Ann said.

In case, she’s especially thankful to Miguel Costa, Nancy Hogle, Dan and Judy DeRuyter, Marion and Mona Elliott, and Joe and Pat Pellegrino.

Music will be provided by the JRP Band.

In addition, there will be a magic show at noon.
