Investigators have determined that the man found dead inside of a major marijuana grow house in West Lathrop Thursday morning was the victim of a homicide.  

Dung Than Diep, 37, was discovered by Lathrop Police deputies after making a wellness check. The cause of death has not yet been released, and the San Joaquin County Metro Narcotics Task Force has taken over the case.

Inside the house, police found more than 1,000 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.
