Lathrop-Manteca Firefighters take "Yes on C" Campaign for Nov. 6 vote to Facebook

LATHROP - The Lathrop-Manteca Firefighters Association have taken their campaign for the passage of Lathrop's Measure C to Facebook, where Lathrop voters can get the latest news and updates on Measure C, and how it will benefit Public Safety in the City of Lathrop. 

People can view "Yes on Measure C" site at: www.facebook.com/YesonMeasureC .

"We're excited to be sharing our effort to pass Lathrop's Measure C with voters on Facebook", said Tim Kovacs, Lathrop-Manteca Firefighters PAC Chairman.  "I encourage everyone to visit our Facebook page early and often throughout the election.  There they will find the latest news and updates on Measure C. We look forward to using our Facebook page to both share the highlights of Measure C and how it will benefit the City of Lathrop, and help keep Lathrop tax dollars, in Lathrop."

Measure C is a 1% sales tax measure on the November ballot for the City of Lathrop.  Measure C will help to keep the essential Lathrop Public Safety services of police and fire protection at effective levels, as well as improving youth and senior services.

 

Delta College trustee

candidates forum Thursday

STOCKTON - Delta College’s nonpartisan Politics & Law Club is sponsoring the Delta College Board of Trustees Debate Forum, Thursday, October 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Delta’s Atherton Auditorium, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton. 

All but one candidate running for open SJDC board positions will attend the debate.

The participants are:
*Area 1, South Stockton: Jennet Stebbins (Incumbent), LeJames Melton  (Pablo Zapata will not attend, but is still running)
*Area 2, Central Stockton: Dr. Elizabeth Blanchard, Claudia Moreno
*Area 5, Northern District: Steve Castellanos (Incumbent), David Tanner
*Area 6, Tracy: Dr. Teresa Brown (Incumbent), Jass Sangha
The debate forum will be moderated by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters. Audience members will have the opportunity to write questions on 3x5 cards which will be considered for inclusion in the debate by the moderator.
