LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — The robber who approached Lexington man fueling his car was intent on getting something for his efforts. Turned out it was a sack lunch.

City police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said the victim was approached Tuesday on his way to work by a man carrying a knife, who demanded money. When the victim said he had no cash, the robber took what he could find. It was the man’s lunch.

Roberts said the thief was last seen getting into a silver car down the street from the convenience store where the robbery occurred, knife and sack lunch in hand, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The report didn’t indicate what the victim had packed for lunch.
