Pete George – who has been dubbed the rock star of comedy – is headlining the Manteca Chamber of Commerce’s “Just for Laughs” Comedy Night on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Emory, 1028 W. Yosemite Ave.
The doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. dancing follows until midnight.
There is some adult humor and a no host bar that means you must be 21 or older and have IFD at the door.
Tickets are $30 each and are available by calling the Manteca Chamber of Commerce at 823-6121.
George has been an actor and a stand-up comedian for over 20 years.
His television roles have included: Family Law, deputy DA, CBS; Strong Medicine, paramedic , Lifetime; Tales From The ER, two characters, TLC; Night Shift, standup comedian, FOX; Now That’s Comedy, standup comedian, Lodgenet; Comedy at Club 54, standup comedian, CACA Television; The Club, variety show sketch comedy, Viacom; “30 Seconds to Fame”, comedian, FOX; and The 5th Wheel , talent, Universal.
He has appeared in six films and numerous commercials.
George has performed in more than 6,000 shows in his 20-year career as a stand-up comedian.

The cast members include: Charlie Hunnam, as “Jax”, Mark Boone Junior as “Bobby”, Kim Coates as “Tig”, Tommy Flanagan as “Chibs”, Ryan Hurst as “Opie”, Theo Rossi as “Juice” and creator and executive producer, Kurt Sutter. they will all be at Eagle’s Nest Harley-Davidson.

Delicato Vineyards will be holding its Home Winemaking Workshop once again this year for Home Winemakers just beginning or those wanting to hone their skills. Richard Foote, the Tasting Room Manager, has over 20 years of experience in the craft and will share with you the basics of home winemaking.
Choose from the following two dates to attend: Saturday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 4 p..m. and Saturday, Sept. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Delicato Vineyards Tasting Room, Highway 99 & French Camp Road, four miles north of Manteca.
