Here’s something to get all shook up about: A free Elvis Presley tribute concert for those 50 and older.

Jim Anderson and the Rebels are staging the concert this Saturday, Feb. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.

Appearing as a special guest performer is Alexis Clark.

The free tickets are available at the Manteca Senior Center or the Manteca Parks & Recreation office. Those 50 and older are eligible for the free tickets. No more than two free tickets will be available to a couple.

Those under 50 can gain admission at the door for $10 depending upon ticket availability.

Anderson has been headlining and often selling out in theaters throughout the Bay Area. The Manteca resident along with The Rebels just played the Firehouse Theatre in Pleasanton. Anderson performed at last year’s Manteca Pumpkin Fair. The group is planning the release of their first CD this summer.

“Our fan base is getting bigger and bigger every day and I really enjoy every minute of entertaining,” Anderson said. “The boys and I are continually working on bettering the show and adding more music.  We hope to continue to bring the excitement to the stage.  It is always great to see people smile, and this show really does that. It’ll make you smile.”

DeCristo Productions approached Anderson about the idea of a free show for Manteca’s senior citizens. Anderson jumped at the idea without hesitation.

“I was real excited when I got the call for this show,” Anderson sad. “I love entertaining and I love my community.  For those who know me, they know I love trying to give back as much as I can, especially to my own community.  Heck, these folks are probably the ones who kept my butt in line when I was growing up, so it is the least I can do, right?  I am excited and I have been getting a lot of emails from people who knew me as a kid and are looking forward to seeing the show.  I promise it will be really fun and really exciting.”

The show is being sponsored by PL Fry & Sons, DeCristo Productions, and the City of Manteca Parks and Recreation Department
