SCARY PERRY HAUNTED HOUSE: The 16th annual Scary Perry Haunted House takes place Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 11 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 27, as well as Thursday, Oct. 31, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1576 Sage Sparrow Ave. Take the Airport Way exit on the 120 Bypass and head south. Turn left on Atherton Drive. The first right is Sparrow Avenue. For more information call 239-3919. The haunted house is free although donations will be accepted to fund a bigger display next year.

 

Friday & Saturday, Oct. 25-26

DRIVE-THRU HAUNTED HOUSE: Manteca’s original Haunted Drive-thru returns this year on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, from 7 to 10 p.m. The location of this scary windshield entertainment is 1318 North Airport Way, corner of Louise Avenue. Donation is $10 per car with proceeds going to support the California State University, Stanislaus Nursing Class of Spring 2014.

 

Saturday, Oct. 26

DOWNTOWN SAFE HALLOWEEN:  The annual Safe Halloween merchant trick or treating in downtown is Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Children ages 10 and younger are encouraged to take part in the fun and wear their costumes. There will be free face painting plus other games and booths offered in the parking lot next to the Manteca Bedquarters on the corner of North Main Street and Yosemite Avenue.

Saturday, Oct. 26

FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL: The Manteca Presbyterian Youth Group is hosting a Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 3 to 8 p.m. featuring games, prizes, a costume contest, raffle prize, food and candy. Admission is a free if you’re wearing a costume or $1 if not. The festival takes place at the church, North and Main streets. For more information call 239-3159.

MAD SCIENTIST LABORATORY: Manteca resident Rick Feuerstein opens his garage at 1373 Pajaro Ave. in North Manteca off Northgate Drive for a free and unique Halloween experience. Times are Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 30, 6 to 9 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct. 31, 6 to 10 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 26

CARNIVAL & HAUNTED HOUSE: The Manteca Youth Advisory Commission’s Halloween Carnival & Haunted House for preschool thru sixth grade is Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Boys & Girls Club, 545 W. Alameda St. from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Admission is $4 per child or $2 per child with a valid Manteca Boys & Girls Club ID.  Parents/grandparents accompanying kids are admitted free. Wednesday, Oct. 30

BROCK ELLIOTT HARVEST FESTIVAL: The Brock Elliott School Harvest Festival is Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the school campus on Stonum Lane in Manteca. Besides games and refreshments, the Cupcake Lady and LaPink Boutique will be at the festival with part of their proceeds going to the school’s AVID program.

Thursday, Oct. 31

TRUNK OR TREAT: The Manteca High Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club is again hosting a free Safe Halloween Trunk of Treat in the front parking lot of the East Yosemite campus. Admission and Trunk or Treating is fee. There will be games, nachos, cotton candy and other items available for a charge.

ST. PAUL’S  SAFE HALLOWEEN: The St. Paul’s United Methodist Church’s annual Safe Halloween is Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church hall located at Powers Avenue and North Street. The evening includes games, food, and candy.

ST. ANTHONY’S SAFE HALLOWEEN: An evening of family fun is on tap at St. Anthony of Padua School on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Admission is free and game tickets may be purchased for just 25 cents each. The school gym is located at 323 N. Fremont Ave. (corner Sutter Street). NIGHTMARE ON MYLNAR: The free fifth annual haunted house dubbed “Nightmare on Mylnar” is on Thursday, Oct. 31, and Friday, Nov. 1, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 409 Mylnar Ave.
