MODESTO  – The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project invites the community to a screening of the film Bully at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, in Forum 110 on MJC’s East Campus, 435 College Avenue.

The free event is part of the CEP Fall Film and Lecture Series.  Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.

The documentary Bully follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis.  The film suggests that the cruelty suffered by these children is part of a wide-spread problem that includes and affects all, whether victims, perpetrators, or silent bystanders.

Following the film will be guest speakers Ruben Sanchez, M.A., mental health clinician, and Jenny Solis, assistant principal at Gregori High School.  Solis will also be joined by colleagues from Gregori High who are familiar with the topic of bullying.
