TURLCOK — Anthony Kearns — an international soloist and founding member of “The Irish Tenors” — is performing at the historic Turlock Community Theatre on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
Single tickets for this event are $25 and $15 for students. Season tickets to the Turlock Community Concerts’ five-concert series are $60 for adults, $70 for one-adult family, and $130 for two-adult family. Season subscription includes reciprocal tickets at eight affiliated associations in the region. The “soaring lyric tenor” will present a program of Broadway hits, opera favorites and classic Irish songs.
The Irish Tenors, appeared in three highly successful PBS broadcasts (1999, 2000 and 2001). While the trio continues to tour annually, Kearns has met with continued success as a recitalist, with symphony orchestras and on the opera stage. Appearances include a performance for President Obama (Friends of Ireland at the Capitol, Washington, D.C.), a celebration of the Kennedy family’s Irish roots (Ireland), and ongoing concertizing around the globe in support of “ThanksUSA!” and “USO Wounded Warriors.” Kearns has recorded nine albums with The Irish Tenors; his first solo project will be released in October 2013.
