Kindred Arts presents Nelson & Nelson in concert Sunday

Nelson & Nelson will be the Christmas performance presented by the Manteca Kindred Arts. The concert will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church starting at 3 p.m.

The church is located at the corner of Powers Avenue and East North Street.

Nelson and Nelson have been performing in choral, musical theatre and cabaret settings for the past nine years.

Curtis Nelson has performed as a concert stage and cabaret singer for over 35 years. This past summer, Curtis had the title role in the Modesto Performing Arts production of “Man of La Mancha,” portraying Cervantes/Don Quixote at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Patrice Stribling Nelson is a classical pianist who has soloed with a number of symphony orchestras in the U.S. In addition to performances at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, she has conducted choir concerts across the country.

When not performing on stage, Curtis writes, directs and is a music professor at Merced College, where he teaches voice, music history, and conducts choral ensembles. Patrice teaches piano at the STribling Nelson Music Studio in Merced.
