MODESTO –The Modesto Junior College Department of Music presents the Jazz Band Spring Concert on Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium on East Campus, 435 College Avenue. The event is open to the public and admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted. Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.

The MJC Jazz Band, conducted by Director of Bands Erik Maki, will perform a program of traditional and contemporary jazz music. The 17 member big band will play the music of Dizzy Gillespie, Bob Morgan, John Fedchock, Gene Peurling, Bob Soder, Louie Bellson and more.
