MODESTO  – The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project (CEP) invites the community to a screening of the documentary film The Invisible War on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in Forum 110 on MJC’s East Campus, 435 College Avenue.

The free event is part of the CEP Fall Film and Lecture Series.  Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.

The Invisible War, a 2012 Academy Award nominee for best documentary, exposes a serious issue in the military: sexual assault. The film features interviews with veterans whose stories of abuse share many concerns, such as a lack of recourse to an impartial justice system and a lack of adequate emotional and physical care for sexual assault survivors. A discussion will follow the film.
