MJC staging The Rez Sisters

MODESTO – The Modesto Junior College Theatre Department presents The Rez Sisters directed by Lynette Borrelli-Glidewell, with performances on May 29, 30 and 31 and June 5, 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee at 2 p.m. on June 7 in the Little Theatre of the Performing and Media Arts Center on East Campus.

 This award winning play, by Native American playwright Tomson Highway, portrays seven women from a Canadian Indian reservation attempting to beat the odds at the biggest bingo event in the world. The Rez Sisters is a hilarious, thoughtful, mystical and powerful creative work focusing on the Native American voice. The work exposes the highs and lows of life on a reservation. 

Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 general admission and are available in advance online at http://mjc.tix.com or at the door 90 minutes prior to showtime.
