TURLOCK – Unexpected instrumentation produces unsurpassed results when the Sixth Floor Trio presents their continuum of styles and cultures at the historic Turlock Community Theatre on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m.

Single tickets for this event are $25, $15/students. Season subscription includes reciprocal tickets at eight affiliated associations in the region. For tickets or further information, call Linda Posegate at (209-668-1456) or Eric Julien (209-667-5874) or visit www.turlockconcert.org.

Committed to connecting diverse audiences through a united language of music, Sixth Floor Trio members Teddy Abrams (piano/clarinet), Harrison Hollingsworth (bassoon, violin) and Johnny Teyssier (clarinet) have concocted a truly original amalgam of repertoire and style, instrumentation notwithstanding. In their energized performances, composers such as Handel, Brahms and Bartok live side-by-side in a musical soup with rock, jazz, klezmer and ragtime. Similarly, they share this newly conceived recipe far beyond the concert hall, including libraries, bus stations, summer music festivals and grunge bars.

Each a graduate of the world-renowned Curtis Institute of Music, the Sixth Floor Trio is a resident partner in the national “Random Acts of Culture” program, sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Follow this link to view a video featuring the Sixth Floor Trio.

The Turlock Concert Association has been presenting nationally acclaimed artists to the community since 1940. The all-volunteer non-profit board is committed to enriching the cultural life of the community through live performances. Thanks to the generosity of Patrons and Sponsors, these concerts can be offered at affordable, family friendly prices.
