MODESTO  –The Modesto Junior College Concert Choir will present a Choral Concert on Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.  in the Main Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center on the East Campus, 435 College Avenue. 

 The performance will be shared by sophomore pianist Wesley Richmond, a men’s trio and the college’s 35 voice Concert Choir. The event is open to the public, and parking and admission are free.

 Piano soloist Richmond will perform works by Chopin and Shostakovich.  The men’s trio will perform music by Frank Loesser. The MJC Concert Choir will perform “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi. The choir will be accompanied by Dr. Yan Yan Chan and conducted by Stephen L. Stroud.

 Vivaldi’s “Gloria” is a religious work in 12 movements composed in 1725, the Baroque Era of music.  In addition to the choir, soloists will include Katie Stefanic, Diana Davila, Madeleine Delisle and Aneka Torres.
