Annie Peterson has joined the advertising staff of the Manteca Bulletin.
Peterson is a five-year veteran of display advertising sales. She will be calling on clients in the area east of Main Street and South of Yosemite Avenue. She is also handles ad sales in Ripon and Modesto.
She said her greatest interest is in helping businesses grow through their advertising.
In her former position she worked independently, she said.
She recalled her teen years when only 13 she approached the Ventura Star with her resume – a daily in the costal Southland city of Ventura – asking to be considered for employment. Peterson said they replied saying they had forwarded her query to all their departments.
“I always dreamed of writing,” she said. “But as I got older I did better in writing ad copy. I do really well with buzz words.”
She and her husband Lanz have four children: Gage, 10; Van, 8; Bon, 5; and Milla 4. The older two attend Golden West School. Bon is in kindergarten at Shasta and Milla is in preschool at McParland.
