Plenty of loving dogs available for adoption at Ripon Animal Shelter
JAKE11-17401a
A black lab mix, Jake is on track for a new master.

RIPON — Ripon Police Animal Control Officer Elizabeth Forkas has a number of dogs she feels will make good pets at her shelter on Doak Boulevard on the south side of the community.

It is difficult for staff to have to put the animals down when no one comes to adopt them at the state-of-the-art Ripon facility with its piped heating coils running through the concrete floors.

Forkas  said that Jake is a male Rottweiler that is looking for a home along with others in the city cages.  Bambi and Cassie are female boxer puppies and will also be available for adoption soon.

Both Sugar and Spice are female Shepherd mix canines that need loving attention of an individual or a family.

For those individuals interested in seeing the collection of dogs at the shelter, they may contact either Liz or Christina at (209) 599-3146.  The shelter is easy to find as it sits at the base of the radio tower south of town with the vertical word “Ripon” seen from the freeway displayed on its sides.
