Everything from an intergenerational  prom and the monthly food truck mania to a free breakfast for those 50 and older are being staged under the umbrella of the Manteca Parks and Recreation Department over the next 10 days.
Food truck mania Sunday
One the biggest single day events ever staged by the Manteca Parks & Recreation Department — Manteca Food Truck Mania — returns to Woodward Park on Sunday, June 12, from 3 to 8 p.m.
The inaugural event in April drew more than 6,000 people. It settled down to a more manageable 3,000 people in May.
The trucks will line the turnaround adjacent to the group picnic area. There will be bounce houses and other family activities.
Attendees are advised to bring cash as a number of food trucks don’t accept credit or debit cards.
SactoMoFood is organizing the food trucks. Future Food Truck Mania events are planned for the second Sunday of each month through October under the auspices of the Manteca Parks and Recreation Department.
