Pumpkin Run set for Oct. 4

The Faustina Rosas Memorial Pumpkin Run benefitting the Manteca Unified Student Trust takes place Saturday, Oct. 4, in downtown Manteca in conjunction with the Sunrise Kiwanis Pumpkin Fair.

Race day registration for the 1 mile and 5K run will begin at 7 a.m. For the 1-mile run will begin at 8 a.m. For the 5K run, it will be 8:30 a.m.

The gathering place will be at the corner of Center and Elm streets next to the Tidewater Bikepath. All participants that register in advance for the MUST Pumpkin Run will receive a T-shirt. This is MUST’s ninth annual run.

Registration fees are $20 per person with T-shirt; must be received by Sept. 26. The family entry fee (pre-registration only) is $70 for a single race with four complimentary T-shirts. Fees have to be received by Sept. 26 also. On race day, the fee for a single race is $25 per person. An additional $5 per person is charged if one wants to be in both the 1 mile and 5K runs. T-shirts may be available for race day registrants but supplies and sizes will be limited.

The Manteca Unified Student Trust foundation was established to support the students of Manteca Unified. Those who would like to make a contribution to MUST are asked to visit the organization’s web site at www.mantecausd.net and click on MUST. Entry fees to the Pumpkin Run are tax deductible. Receipts, if requested, will be given at registration.
