Puppet Island, root beer floats & Hula Hoops

Sail away to Puppet Island with Captain Book and his hilarious crew with Tony Borders on Wednesday, June 16, at 3:30 p.m., the Manteca Branch Library.

You will meet a friendly dolphin, a big Dodo and a pirate in search of the library’s true treasure. The show includes ventriloquism, costumes, a magic treasure chest and island music.

On Thursday, June 17, at 3 p.m., the Manteca Branch Library presents Floatin’ Root Beer & Flyin’ Hoops  All teens are invited to come and make an unforgettable splash to celebrate this year’s Teen Summer Reading Program: “Make Waves at Your Library.”  It’s an afternoon of chillin’ like beach bums sipping on refreshing Root Beer Floats; the perfect beverage to fuel the fierce competition to find the best Hula Hooper in Manteca.  Come relaxed, dressed in your favorite beach grungies, and join the discussion about your favorite water-themed books, movies, video games and music.  Hula Hoops provided.
