Several unique cars will be on display at Manteca’s Del Webb at Woodbridge on Saturday.
On tap will be a rare 1960 Ford Starliner along with a 1966 Corvair with a V-8 engine, a 1949 Olds 88 convertible sedan, a 1927 Tall Model ‘T’ and a 1936 Ford Roadster.
It’s all part of the Rods, Roadsters and Cruising Cars event hosted by the Wheels of Woodbridge Car Club.
The fourth annual event, free and open to the public, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the active-adult community – specifically, age 55 and older – at 1451 Americana St.
Car show participants were asked to contribute $20 as a registration fee, which, in turn, will help benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Food available for purchase and made possible by the Men of Woodbridge ($3 for hot dog, chips and a drink), and the Second Harvest Volunteers and Women of Woodbridge (bake sale) will also go towards this cause to assist the area hungry and needy.
Prizes will be awarded for the People’s Choice in eight categories – hot rod, truck, classic stock, classic modified, muscle car, miscellaneous, and best of show.
The car show is limited to first 80 entrants.
Registrations can be obtained by contacting the car club president at Bill.Barnhart@ourwoodbridge.net or by calling (209) 629-8838.
