Realtors golf tournament trumpets $500 cash prize; proceeds supporting food banks

Turkeys R Us and the South San Joaquin County Food Bank will benefit from the upcoming Central Valley Association of Realtors golf tournament. Central Valley Realtors are using their golfing talents to raise money for the South San Joaquin County Food Bank and Turkeys R Us for the upcoming holidays.

The 18-hole event is set for Monday, Sept. 26, at the Manteca Park Golf Course on North Union Road with a ball drop set for 11:15 and a shotgun start at 11:30.

Entry fees are $100 per golfer and $35 for those wishing to only attend the awards dinner to follow.  Check in time is 10 a.m.   Lunch is scheduled for 10:30 before going on the greens and dinner in the clubhouse is 5:30.  No-host cocktails will be available at 4:30 p.m.

There will also be a $10 ball drop for a $500 cash prize.  There will be awards for the longest drive, closest to the hole, accuracy hole along with gambling hole and putting contest.

Registration deadline has been set as Sept. 19 and may be confirmed by calling Tony Kahl at 607-1212 or Deborah Romero at 825-9383.
