The Ripon American Legion Clinton McCausland Post 190 has installed officers for both the post and the Women’s Auxiliary and is seeking to get more names of veterans onto the Ripon Veterans’ Wall.
Manuel Lopez, formerly San Joaquin County administrator, became commander of the post. Susan Lawson was sworn in as president of the auxiliary in ceremonies at the Stockton Avenue post in Ripon’s downtown.
Legion members are attempting to acquire more names of veterans to be included on their large black wall located at the corner of Locust and First streets.
“The Ripon Veterans’ Wall is meant to recognize Ripon residents, past and present, who have honorably served their country through service in the U.S. military or who have spent a significant portion of their life here – we want to recognize them,” a Legion officer said.
“For those of you that have not yet given your name and military information for inclusion on our Ripon Veterans’ Wall, please fill out the form available inside the Veterans’ Museum at the corner of Locust Avenue and First Street or go to the Clinton McCausland Post No. 190 web page at www.riponpost 190.org. and download the application form.  Completed forms may also be left with a docent at the Veterans’ Museum or mailed to American Legion Post 190, Box 922, Ripon, CA, 95366,” he added.
The post is located just south of the Ripon Consolidated Fire Department on Stockton Avenue south of East Main Street.
