The Ripon Unified school board will honor veterans of the armed forces including one of its own at Monday’s 7 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
Trustee Ernie Tyhurst and Chief Operating Officer Frank Jerome along with Ripon High JROTC instructors Sgt. Robert Randall and Col. David Schmith will be among those honored in celebration of the Veterans Day.
Other RUSD employees who served their country include: Gary Dias, Jeff Hessler, Larry Moreno, Ken Tyhurst and Alicia Vasche.

uKhush Gheyara, Chief Financial Officer of CFW Inc., and Project Manager Deanna Shirlock of CT Brayton & Sons will provide an update on the Colony Oak Elementary School modernization.
uTrustees will request the continued use of the City of Ripon Council Chambers to conduct their month meeting for 2018.
uThe board will consider the appointment of Dana Phelps as the interim principal at Ripon Elementary School. Once approved, Phelps will be reassigned to with work with Principal Mike Larson in December, taking over as interim principal in January.
