RIPON — The Ripon Chamber of Commerce is holding its Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Dinner on Thursday, July 26, at the new dining room of the Spring Creek Golf & Country Club, 1580 Spring Creek Drive.

Janell Zuidervaart will take over the role of president for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.  Zuidervaart owns Friends Salon on West Main Street in Ripon.

A no host social hour will be at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 7 with installation of officers and awards presentations to follow. The chamber will be honoring outgoing board members Marge Imfeld, who has served as president, and directors Cliff Jorgensen, and Ron Douma, as well as installing new board members Kevin Hawes, Ability Mortgage; John Mangelos, Barnwood Restaurant and Catering;  and Chief of Police Ed Ormonde.

Also to be honored as the Police Officer of the Year is Detective Sergeant Terri Jensen, and the Firefighter of the Year is volunteer Chad Cheek.   Educators of the Year are Kathy Woodson, Ripon Unified School District, and Sherwin Heyboer. Ripon Christian Schools, along with the Business of the year, Ability Mortgage are also being recognized.
