This year’s Fourth of July was a three-day endeavor.

Farmers Market, a summer staple in town, recently wrapped up for the season.

Ripon City Council will hear a staff report on both events at today’s 6 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Included will be the final dollar figures for Fourth of July and Farmers Market.

The monthly session will also include the following:

uElected leaders will look to approve an amendment by American Pavement Systems on a change order to apply a “Three Layer Pavement Preservation System” to a one-quarter mile section of road. APS agreed to do this test section at a reduced cost to determine if this method would be a viable option for treatment of other roads in Ripon that were categorized as “poor” and “very poor” required to complete the reconstruction.

They’ll hear a staff presentation on the proposed storm water ordinance and the Storm Water Development Standards.

Council will approve a proclamation declaring October as Manufacturing Awareness and Appreciation month.
