Ripon Unified recently filled several positions and is still looking at yet another hiring.

Included is a secretary at Weston School. This temporary position is necessary in assisting duties associated with the site.

The person picked will be called on to help out at Weston, from Jan. 7 to June 30 or the end of this school year.

Duties will consist of performing “a wide variety of responsible clerical work involving staff and pupil record keeping, student body accounts, cafeteria records, and use of office machine,” according to the RUSD job description.

Trustees last week approved hiring of several instructional assistants – Edna Bass, Dina Lay and Irene Ness at Ripon Elementary, and Norma Villagran and Kristen Baker at Ripona Elementary.

They also gave the OK for kindergarten teacher Kristy Dillman at Park View. She’s scheduled to begin this week.

The school board, in addition, accepted the retirement of bus driver Peggy Treas along with the resignation of several instructional assistants – namely, Linda Garzoli at Ripon, Jocelyn Swier at Weston, and Delia Green and Carrie Sweet at Colony Oak.
