It took Ripon Police just 38 minutes to identify and arrest a suspect in a drive-by shooting that disrupted an otherwise quiet evening.
Bullets were fired at a home Friday night in the 300 block of East Frontage Road in northeast Ripon. Officers responded at 8:46 p.m. Friday after getting multiple reports of shots being fired, Ripon Police 1st Sgt. Steve Merchant said.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a home damaged by gunfire. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting.
About 38 minutes into the investigation, police were able to identify a suspect and arrest him, Merchant said. No other information was released by police because it is an ongoing investigation.
Merchant said the cooperation of residents and police led to a quick resolution to the case.
