William Hunter and Jake Van Duyn are scheduled to be honored at Tuesday’s Ripon City Council meeting.
Proclamations recognizing the two Senior Commissioners are in store during the 7 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave. Ripon.
Hunter and Van Duyn both resigned but served with “dedication and distinction,” according to the proclamation.
Mayor Chuck Winn is expected to pay tribute to the two.
Hunter and Van Duyn have “given generously of his time and effort on behalf of this commission,” according to the proclamation.
Elected leaders could appoint Henry Dole and Debbie Tornell to the Senior Commission.
Dole is looking to be the voting member on four-year term while Tornell could be the alternative voting member.
