Come this time of year, the City of Ripon invites residents to participate in a yard sale at the convenience of their home.
The City-Wide Yard Sale is scheduled Saturday, Oct. 14.
Those who are planning to use this one-day event to sell their old clothes, furniture, appliances, toys, houseware items, electronics, tools, or outdoor items, to name a few, can pick up enrollment forms at Ripon City Hall, 259 N. Wilma Ave., or log on to yardsale@cityofripon.org.
Forms must be completed and submitted to the Public Works Department (after work hours, enrollment forms can be placed inside the drop box in front of City Hall).
The deadline to do all of this is Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Cancellation for the yard sale will be accepted by noon on Oct. 4.
The City will handle the advertisement in newspapers — coverage area will include the surrounding cities —- and on various garage sale websites.
In addition, the City will have maps of the participating yard sale homes and locations available at Save Mart, Schemper’s Ace Hardware, and Ripon City Hall after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
After hours, the maps will be set out in front of City Hall on the day before (Friday) and the day of (Saturday) the City-Wide Yard Sale.
