Ripon plans huge yard sale May 5

The area’s biggest yard sale — the Ripon Community Yard Sale — takes place Saturday, May 5, at the Mistlin Sports complex.
The time is from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The event is held twice a year and is a part of the City of Ripon’s recycling program to promote “re-use, repair & recycle.” It has proven a popular way for people to get rid of unwanted items and earn cash while others find bargains and the city avoids sending useable items to the landfill.
Spaces are roughly 20 by 10 feet. You can secure up to a maximum of three spaces and must provide your own tables if needed. No vendors are allowed. Also banned is the selling of food and beverages as well as multiples of new items.
The fee is $5 per space for Ripon residents that live within the city limits and $10 per space for everyone else.
The registration deadline is Thursday, May 3.
