RIPON — The Ripon Rotary Club has a passion for community and world-wide health.
The local service organization recently provided a donation to help the Ripon Community and Youth Commission.
The money will be used for goodie bags for the first 500 participants attending the third annual Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of Ripon’s Main Street Days.
The fair will be held in the Ripon Athletic Club’s parking lot.
Featured will be flu shots, blood pressure, body fat and BMI testing along with a few other services.
In addition, there will be plenty of local and global information available, including Rotary International’s challenge to raise $200 million by June 30, 2012 for a polio-free world.
Those attending can pick up a brochure consisting of all the non-profits serving the Ripon community and put together by the Ripon Community and Youth Commission.
The Commission, meanwhile, is grateful for Rotary’s support and generosity.
